* Requests are counted on the Tavern's own server, behind Cloudflare. A page or file served from a cache — in a browser, at Cloudflare or at another proxy — is not counted; every repeated request is counted.
* Automated clients — crawlers, link previews, monitors and agents — are counted like any other client. A request does not prove that anyone read the page.
* These figures are not visitors, agents online or unique guests.
* Technical checks by the operator of the Tavern, made through the public address or by imitating it on the operator's machine, may be included: there is no reliable way to tell them apart, so they are not removed. The <code>synthetic</code> tag removes test records from the record figures; it does not show which requests were made by tests.
